Shannon Butler

Mount Pleasant Patient Coordinator 

​​Shannon is from Whidbey Island, located in Washington State. She recently moved to the Charleston area to be closer to family. She loves building relationships with patients and their families. When Shannon is not working you can find her in the kitchen whippin’ up her favorite comfort foods. She enjoys entertaining family and friends, venturing out and discovering all Charleston has to offer!

Cheryl Dean

Ladson Patient Coordinator 

​​Cheryl was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina. She has been with CCTC since 2015. She has over 20 years of experience with scheduling, processing medical records and documentation in accordance to HIPAA regulations. She enjoys spending time with her children and taking walks along the beach. She volunteers her free time at various animal shelters around the area.

Cecilia Hunt

Operations Manager

Cecilia is from Lynchburg, Virginia. She is currently in the process of earning her degree online in Health Services Management at University of Maryland. Her goal is to create an efficient and streamlined environment while growing professionally with her team. When Cecilia is not working, she enjoys the beach, hiking the VA mountains, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going on long runs with her dog, Iris. She has competed in two half-marathons and plans to do more.

Sandra Nieves

Ladson Patient Coordinator

Sandra is originally from the island of Puerto Rico, located in the Caribbean Sea. She moved to Summerville in 2004 looking for a change in her life. Sandra loves being able to help families and see the positive impact we have on children and their families. She has been working in pediatrics for over 5  years now. In her free time you will find Sandra in her garden with her plants creating new ideas. Sandra also enjoys spending time with friends creating memories while sharing delicious food and tropical juices.

Emily Riser

Director of Community Outreach / COTA

Emily was born and raised in Hanahan, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the College of Charleston and went on to earn her Associate in Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Trident Technical College. Emily currently works in the Ladson clinic and has experience in early intervention. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, working with children with Autism, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Sensory Processing Disorder. In addition to treating patients, Emily enjoys being part of the operations team and forming relationships with providers, families, and local businesses. In her free time, Emily loves camping, kayaking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her two dogs.

Nicole Schneider

PT, DPT, OMT-C

Clinic Director
​Natural Environment / Ladson Clinic
Nicole grew up in Greenville, SC and has worked her way towards the coast. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Motor Development from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. While in undergrad, Nicole worked with children with motor development delays from age 2-12. While in grad school at MUSC, Nicole completed training in outpatient orthopedics and pediatrics.  She has worked the past 11 years in outpatient orthopedics working with adults and children with a variety of diagnoses. Nicole works in the Natural Environment and in our Ladson clinic. She treats patients with a variety of diagnoses to include developmental delay, cerebral palsy, toe walking, clubfoot, torticollis, arthrogryposis, and autism. In addition to being a wonderful PT, she is also our Ladson and Mount Pleasant Clinic Director. She helps both offices run smoothly with her ability to plan and communicate. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband, two daughters, and dog. She loves listening to music and going to the beach.

Angela Schmidt

Billing Manager

Angela was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Health Information Management-Medical Billing/Coding. Angela has 13 years of experience in medical billing and coding, medical records, and medical office management. In her spare time, Angela enjoys photography, paranormal investigating, picnics, listening to music, and spending time with her husband.
